General

Major Tones is a music-based card game that tests your lyrical memory. It’s not about naming the artist or song title—it’s about proving you actually know the words. One person reads a lyric-based question, and players have to recall the missing line. It’s fun, nostalgic, and guaranteed to spark some questionable singing.

It’s simple! One player reads a card aloud, which asks a question based on song lyrics. The other players try to recall the missing words. You can play competitively, cooperatively, or just for the fun of it. Full instructions are in the box—promise, they’re easier to follow than IKEA furniture assembly.

Major Tones works with two players or an entire party. Play one-on-one for a head-to-head battle of musical memory, or get a group together and turn it into a full-on showdown. The more, the merrier (and the louder).

Most of the time! While we’ve done our best to keep things clean, some songs might have lyrics that lean into PG-13 territory. If you're playing with younger ones, we recommend a quick card preview before each round.

Not at all! If you’ve ever belted out a chorus in the car or confidently sung the wrong lyrics in the shower, you’re already qualified. The game is all about having fun with music, not acing a pop quiz.

No stress! Other players can offer hints (if they’re feeling generous), or you can just guess and hope for the best. Some of the funniest moments come from wildly wrong answers.

You can play a quick-fire round in 10 minutes or turn it into an all-night battle of musical wits. It’s totally up to you.

Right now, Major Tones is a physical card game made for in-person fun. But who’s stopping you from jumping on a video call and testing your friends from afar?

Right here on our website! (Insert link) Plus, we’re working on getting it stocked in some of your favourite stores—stay tuned.

For now, we’re shipping within Australia, but we’re working on expanding. If you're outside our shipping zones and really need Major Tones in your life, send us a message, and we’ll see what we can do!

RETURNS

We hope you loved your game as much as we loved making it – but if it’s not music to your ears, we’ve got you. We accept returns within 30 days of purchase, as long as your game is unopened and in its original condition. Just like a good vinyl, it needs to be in mint condition.

Flick us an email at hello@majortones.com with your order number and reason for return. We’ll get back to you with return instructions.

For change of mind purchases, return shipping costs are on you. But if your game arrived damaged or faulty, we’ll sort it out on our end. (Nobody deserves a busted beat.)

Sadly, no. Once it’s been unwrapped and played, it’s yours to keep. (But hey, maybe gift it to that mate who always forgets the lyrics – they clearly need the practice.)

Once your return lands back at Major Tones HQ and passes inspection, we’ll refund your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
